In 1990 on a trip organised by my secondary school, I was introduced into wintersports. Admittedly first skiing **cough cough** and then in 1996 snowboarding.
It has been a constant in my life, Snow-Camp is a charity that also believes in the power of wintersports to transform young people lives:
Snow-Camp are the UK’s only charity using a unique combination of skiing, snowboarding, life-skills sessions and vocational opportunities to support and empower inner city young people. Since 2003, their dedicated staff team have been changing the lives of inner-city young people by increasing their motivation and aspirations, positively challenging their attitudes, developing their skills and enabling them to gain qualifications and employment in the snowsports industry and beyond.
I cannot think of a more honourable charity we'd like to support.
